Some of the Classes we offer:

SALSATON: Also referred to as Salsa Tone.  This class is  an excellent way to sculpt your body. It will work your you know what off, build definition on your arms, legs and thighs.  It is a mixture of Salsa and Reggaeton.  Needless to say the routines are high energy and lots of fun.  It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" in order for participants to stick to the fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits.  It is not only great for the body, but is also great for the mind. It is a "feel-happy" workout.

BAILESpanish word for Dance and yes that is exactly what you will do in this class dance, dance and then dance.  It is a lot of fun and geared to burn calories.  A fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that will also tone and sculpt the body.

LATIN-MIXMore Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton and even a little bit of Hip-Hop.  Utilizes the principals of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture fast and easy to follow dance steps.  Oh yeah a lot of  partying and plenty of fun.

TIPS

Classes are not divided into levels of difficulty. Everybody works out at their own level. We show during the class how to do it low, intermediate and high impact. But the most important thing to do is to listen to your own body. If you haven't worked out in long time make sure you take it easy for the first classes. Don't add arms movements until you feel more comfortable or perhaps do just 30-40 minutes to begin. You can add intensity a little at a time.

If you are in a really good shape we invite you to challenge yourself. Don't be shy!! Show us what you can do...we’re always looking to learn new moves. Don't be afraid of showing your stuff!

Make sure you drink plenty of water before, during and after the class. It's very important to keep yourself hydrated at all times.  Remember the only drink that will help shed those extra pounds and clean your body is WATER.

Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes that allow you movement.  If your shoes have too much traction, you could be hurting your knees.  Look into dancing sneakers or jazz shoes to avoid knee injuries.  Listen to your body at all times. Don't get frustrated during the class if you can't get all the steps.  The first time you take class may be the hardest.  It may appear that you can’t get all the steps, keep in mind everyone else has been there for weeks, months, and even years.

We don't workout to learn how to dance and nobody is going to be judging your dancing skills. We come to have FUN and as a by product we end burning anywhere from 500 to 900 calories.  Now is that FUN or WHAT!.

Safety Tips Summary to minimize injuries:

1. Listen to your body at all times.  Breath normally if you feel you’re over doing it, you probably are.

2. Keep yourself hydrated always.  You don’t want to overheat.  Take small sips, do not overfill your stomach and have the water splashing around inside.

3. Be careful not to twist your knees.  Latin music requires a lot of  hip movement which is done primarily by rotating your knees.  Pay close attention to your knee, if they hurt it’s probably because you’re not pivoting on your shoes, because one, they won’t let you or two you don’t know how.  Ask.

4.  Start slow there is no competitive dancing.  Do what you can and remember to always have FUN.  Add the intensity a little at a time.

5.  Don’t be afraid to try new things.  Always feel free to ask your instructor for variations of moves if you can’t do one or feel uncomfortable doing them.

We're not only a fitness class...It's a place to hang out with friends. We are a family and we always stay at the end of the class to talk. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. We hope to see you soon!!!
